Paint Your Pet Night

Anyone can do Project Pet, regardless of art experience. A professional artist walks you through color mixing and painting techniques to get your pet’s fur and features just right. There’s no guesswork and no pressure.
Paint your dog, chicken, iguana, or pig – we don’t discriminate. At the end of the night, you’ll have a frame-worthy keepsake. This event is a must for every pet lover!

Painting Workshop
Instructor: Armand Cabrera
Dates: Saturday November 10 & Sunday November 11
Time: 10:00 am – 6:00 pm

Limited to only 6 students Armand creates a nurturing, judgment-free environment in his classes. He can teach anyone to paint better. Armand will gently guide you to achieve your painting goals. Your personal response to a subject will be emphasized---not how another artist expresses the subject.
Armand will demonstrate painting every day…starting with a blank canvas to a completed painting. These daily demos are a great way to see how a professional artist plans and executes a painting. Students will be encouraged to observe and ask questions as Armand paints.
Armand will instruct students how to paint anything---landscapes, seascapes, figurative, floral or still life creations. Lots of individual attention will be given to each student to strengthen their painting skills. Novice and accomplished painters will benefit from Armand’s expertise and unique painting techniques. All skill levels are welcome---including beginners.
Armand Cabrera is a native Californian who currently resides in Northern Virginia. He is a full-time, award-winning oil and watercolor painter. His work is found in public, private and corporate collections around the world. Armand writes a very popular art blog for artists, collectors and art enthusiasts---www.ArtAndInfluence.com. He has been featured in numerous national and regional art magazines and publications. Many Art Galleries across the United States represent Armand’s original artwork.

Hand-Building Classes

Beautiful and functional ceramics can be made without using the pottery wheel and are very simply created. This ancient art form allows for your creative possibilities to be endless. You will discover that you can create with a few simple hand building techniques and learn the most current and creative ways to work with slabs, coils and molds to create plates, vases, tiles, butter dishes and so much more. The session will allow you to experiment with a range of colors and textures by using slips, stains and glazes to decorate your ceramic creations. Individual and group discussions, and a specific project for each session is designed to help guide you with your ideas and develop a greater creativity. Cost is for 8 sessions and includes a 25 Lb bag of clay, glazes and kiln use. Students will be send a basic supply list of tools
After the items are made, they are fired by the instructor. The gallery will schedule pick up with student.
No refunds or credits will be given for missed classes or class withdrawals after the session has begun. Missed classes and studio time are not transferable to another session. Transfers to a class of equal value with the same instructor will be honored if requested 2 weeks prior to class.
