BRADLEY BIRKHIMER
Since 2006, Bradley B Pottery has been creating one of a kind, wood fired and gas fired pottery for the kitchen and home. Bradley also currently teaches ceramics at Hood College in Fredrick, Maryland and at the Workhouse Arts Center in Lorton, VA.
"The gas fired work is fired to 2370 degrees Fahrenheit and most glazes are sprayed with baking soda to enhance colors and surface textures. This emulates the wood fired surfaces and allows for more consistent results. All of the pottery is made with my personal white stoneware blend, custom ash and mottled glazes. Daily use and enjoyment are these pots intentions and I hope you can see the beauty and truth in them."
"My experiences in China have given me a framework to combine Chinese architecture, my Christian faith, and American culture into my ceramics. Western utilitarian pottery is my foundation throughout my forms. Please enjoy using this unique pottery everyday, for it is safe in all aspects of the modern kitchen. Thank you for all your support!" Bradley B Pottery
