![]() Here at the Cooley Gallery there are few things we love more than art. Very few. Actually, it’s not plural, we love only one thing more than a kick-ass wood fired pot or a beautifully painted naked woman – and that one thing is beer. Beer and art make the world go ‘round if you ask us. (You didn’t, but we’re telling you anyway.) So we’d been sitting around for weeks drinking beer and making art when the idea hit us. Who says you can’t enjoy great beer WHILE making art? No one. And what better beer to drink than Flying Dog beer? None. We talked to our friends over at the Flying Dog Brewery and they LOVED our idea, in case you didn’t know they’re pretty big fans of the ol’ throwin’ wheel themselves. (Check out one of Tim’s paintings here – pretty good for a film guy, eh?) Needless to say it didn’t take long to come up with a plan, and we’re so excited to announce our next Canvas and Cork will be taking place in the one and only Flying Dog Brewery in Frederick, Maryland. The event will be held Saturday February 15th, 2014 from 6:30 – 8:30pm. As usual, space is limited, so be sure to snag a ticket ASAP! Chris Cooley will be teaching the class, and can’t wait to meet everyone that attends. A beer sampling will be included in your ticket price, and you’ll also be sent home with a pretty sweet corked bottle of beer. See, I told you we like kick-ass things. Thanks for reading – hope to see you on the 15th! -The Cooley Gallery
